Why should I avoid palm oil in candles?Updated 18 days ago

If you are unfamiliar with palm oil then there’s good reason to avoid this as up to 300 football fields of natural forests in Africa are cleared every hour to make room for palm plantations. As a result the orangutan population has decreased in the last 10 years due to the habitat loss from forest clearing for palm plantations. Palm oil can be used by some candle manufacturers as an enhancer.
