Why has my fragrance oil changed color?Updated a month ago
At Kirri, many of our fragrances feature high concentrations of essential oils, which are natural ingredients that can vary in color. It is not uncommon for fragrance oils to change color over time, and this is a natural occurrence that doesn’t affect the quality or scent of the fragrance.
In fact, factors such as seasonal variations in essential oil crops can lead to noticeable differences in color. For example, we’ve observed that mandarin essential oil can shift in color depending on the time of year and the specific harvest. These subtle changes are a reflection of the natural, high-quality ingredients we use in our fragrances.
To minimize any further discoloration, we recommend storing your fragrance oils in a cool, dark place and ensuring the bottles are tightly sealed to protect them from light, air, and heat. Rest assured, these natural changes do not compromise the fragrance experience.
