Why does the reed diffuser smell different from powered diffusers like the Element and Beacon?Updated 16 hours ago

Reed diffusers and powered diffusers release fragrance in different ways, which affects how the scent is experienced.
Reed diffusers rely on evaporation: fragrance oils slowly travel up the reeds and naturally evaporate into the air. Often blended with perfumer’s alcohol, this process is gradual and gentle, producing a softer, warmer, and sometimes more subtle scent.
Powered diffusers use cold air diffusion: air pressure and cool air break the fragrance into tiny particles that disperse quickly and evenly. This method delivers a fresher, more consistent scent that stays true to the perfumer’s original blend.
Because of these different diffusion methods, reed diffusers typically have a softer, warmer aroma, while powered diffusers provide a cleaner, more vibrant fragrance experience.
