What are heart (middle) notes in a fragrance?Updated a month ago
Heart notes form the core of the fragrance and are sometimes referred to as the "heart" of the scent. They create a liaison between the top and base notes and are commonly floral or spicy. Examples include rose, ylang-ylang, neroli, and black pepper. Heart notes start to emerge just as the top notes are dissipating and can last for 20-60 minutes.
