After two refills (about 1.5 to 2 hours), we advise letting the device cool for around 20 minutes. No issues there; cement is capable of withstanding quite high temperatures. It does, however, become hot to the touch, which can be avoided by allowing it to cool. In addition, the cement's retained heat will be dispersed. The use of a cool-down period also lessens this.
