Can reed diffusers cause allergies?Updated 10 days ago

Although a small percentage of people are sensitive to specific chemicals, most people will not have an unfavourable reaction to air-borne fragrances since they are designed to be diffused at many parts per million.

The symptoms of an allergic reaction to oils vary depending on the person and how the oils are used. The majority of oil responses are moderate and treatable at home.

● If you used the oil externally, wash the afflicted area thoroughly with mild soap and cold water.

● Applying a cold, damp compress to your skin can be relaxing. You may also use moderate hydrocortisone cream on the rash to ease itching.

● If you get oil in your eyes, rinse them with lukewarm water and seek medical attention.

If your symptoms persist or worsen, contact your doctor immediately.
